The Keystone Story

Nov 09, 2017

Keystone made is 2 wins from as many starts in Australia when he took out the class 1 1000m Hcp at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday the 5th November, the gelding who was bred in Australia was sold un raced and sent to Singapore where he campaigned having 11 starts for 5 placings, having his last start in Singapore on the 2nd April the horse was returned to Australia. We had been in contact with friend and fellow trainer Phillip Stokes looking for horses to help build our small team and he said he knew a few that had returned from Singapore and he would go at look at them for us and he picked Keystone out of the group. The horse then travelled up to the Sunshine Coast from South Australia where he enjoyed a lovely spell at Kilto Park and came in looking fantastic, it was a family we were very familiar with having worked with his mother Scarlet Silk and also Brief Embrace. The gelding was a bit highly strung at first but then seemed to thrive in his new quiet environment and just went from strength to strength, we are so grateful to Phillip Stokes for finding this horse for us and the team who have worked with him at home in particular Cameron Taylor who has done a great job with him on the track.
